The Beginning

Hello friends, family, and others reading my blog.
 I started this so that anyone can easily read about my adventures while i am on my year long trip to Rome, Italy.  i will try to write at least once a week or after any big event that has happened. i recently got a new camera and laptop so i can easily document everything and post pictures of the amazing things i will see. i will be leaving early morning on August 23rd out of LAX for my super long flight across the world to my new home. When i arrive, my new host family will be there to welcome me! I will have a mom named Elisabetta, a dad named Michele, a 22 year old brother named Andrea, and a 24 year old brother named Luca! they seem so nice and they have told me all about their city and they tell me i will have the most amazing time and try the best food <3
 I will be attending a public Italian high school nearby my house. In Italy there are three different types of high schools. one is focused around Art, one around science, and one around literature. i love art and literature and i hate science so you can imagine how long i had my fingers crossed to get into an art school, but then i found out i am going out a science school. at first i was very scared because i am very bad at science and i was scared i wouldn't do well , but as i think about it, i understand that i will have to do my best wherever i am going to school and i am actually very fortunate because the school is so near my house. I have also been told it is one of the best schools in the area! so i cant wait to go and meet all my new classmates.
So this is just an over view of what my blog is about and a little on what i will be up to the next year! I'm so excited to leave and i know i will have an amazing time as long as i stay positive and know i can overcome any obstacles!
